Hello friends, Frankie here! Today we'll be exploring a few temples and shrines in Kyoto in hopes of finding some azalea. Azaleas start blooming just as the cherry blossoms began losing their petals and the trees turned green.
Everything seems a bit early this year which is kind of funny because before I was saying how plum blossoms were so late in Kansai. After that though, everything was like rapid fire blooming and drying immediately.
We're visiting 5 different spots today, starting with Nagaoka Tenmangu, then onto Toji-in, Rokusonno jinja, Mimuroto-ji, and last but definitely not least, Otokunidera.
I unfortunately missed peak bloom at Nagaoka Tenmangu but did catch the peak at some other places in this video - be sure to watch til the end!
